You’ll contribute by:
- Strategic account management and relationship building: Serve as the customer’s trusted contact who understands their needs and motivations, provides industry insights and enables portfolio growth

Your prior experience, knowledge and skills:
- Proven experience in account management, customer success, or B2B sales, preferably in the energy, tech, or SaaS sector
- Understanding of electricity markets, energy trading, or flexibility services (e.g., demand response, BESS) is a strong advantage
- Comfortable with value-based selling and navigating complex decision-making processes in large accounts
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, and technical teams to deliver customer outcomes
- Ability to interpret data and trading performance metrics to derive actionable insights for customers

You’ll contribute by:
- Reporting process maintenance and development: Develop reporting for customers’ profit reports on their battery investment assets, and generate reports for customers and verify quality and correctness of customer financial metrics; develop internal and external dashboards for tracking financial metrics
- Invoicing process scaling and development: Develop and standardize the invoicing process to keep track of revenues and ensure optimal billing cycles; support scaling of invoicing processes across European markets to enable market expansion; research invoicing procedures in European markets and communicate with electricity market stakeholders

OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER
to join our team. Capalo AIʼs virtual power plant optimizes hundreds of distributed battery energy-storage systems (BESS) as a single trading portfolio. Because assets are dispatched collectively, the revenue they earn must be distributed ex-post with mathematical precision and total transparency. As our Optimization Engineer, you will design, implement and continuously refine the algorithms that turn aggregated market income into fair, auditable payouts for every asset owner. Your work will sit at the intersection of quantitative research, software engineering and energy-market operations, ensuring that each customer is rewarded in proportion to their true contribution while enabling Capalo AI to scale confidently across new markets and asset classes.
You will join a cross-functional algorithmic engineering squad—alongside optimisation, data and backend engineers—and collaborate closely with Trading, Finance and Customer Success to embed revenue-splitting logic deep into our settlement pipeline.

- Algorithm design and optimisation: Invent and formalise revenue-allocation models that accommodate heterogeneous battery sizes, durations and operating constraints, leveraging optimisation theory and statistical estimation
- Prototype to production: Build high-performance Python modules that convert hourly market cash-flows into per-asset statements; write robust tests, documentation and CI pipelines to guarantee correctness and reproducibility
- Data analysis and simulation: Develop simulations to benchmark fairness, sensitivity and edge-case behaviour of allocation methods under realistic trading scenarios and price volatility
- System integration: Expose allocation results via APIs and data warehousing layers so that Finance can generate invoices and customers can view earnings in the Capalo AI portal
- Continuous improvement: Monitor model fairness and code performance, gather stakeholder feedback and iterate on metrics and heuristics to keep pace with changing market designs, asset mixes and regulatory guidance
- Documentation and compliance: Maintain rigorous technical documentation and contribute to internal policy that underpins transparent, defendable revenue settlement
Your prior experience, knowledge and skills:
- Solid background in applied mathematics, optimisation, operations research or game theory—ideally MSc/PhD or equivalent industry experience
