The Role

As our Talent Sourcer, you’ll own the top of our hiring funnel. You’ll find and reach talented people across Europe, open conversations and build shortlists of strong, well-matched candidates for our hiring managers to take forward.

This is a sourcing-focused role. Your craft is discovery and first contact: finding people others miss and getting them interested enough to want a conversation.

You’ll join our People team as part of Talent Acquisition, working hand in hand with the hiring managers building Capalo: the optimization and trading minds behind our product, the engineers shipping it and the commercial leaders growing our European markets.

What you’ll do

• Build and run sourcing pipelines across several roles and markets at once
• Identify and reach out to prequalified candidates and spark real interest before handing warm leads to the hiring team
• Run a light first-touch screen before deeper evaluation
• Research your markets and turn it into shared intelligence: talent availability, what candidates want, and where the top people are.
• Keep your pipeline and candidate notes clean and current so hiring managers can move quickly

What you’ll bring

Whether you’re early in your career or well into it, what matters most is how you source and how you think.

• A track record of finding people others can’t, using LinkedIn and plenty beyond it: academic and community networks, referrals etc.
• Comfort with ambiguity: you can map talent for a role you’ve never sourced before and work out where to look
• Self-direction and pace: you’ll be running several pipelines at once, so you’re comfortable juggling and good at keeping things moving
• Strong written and spoken English, since you’ll be the first point of contact for many candidates
• Curiosity about technical and energy markets or the drive to get up to speed quickly
• Experience sourcing engineering, technical or quantitative talent

• Experience in a fast-growth, startup or scale-up environment.

• This role can be based remotely within Europe. If you’re based in Helsinki, we work in a hybrid model with three days a week together at the office.

As our first Origination Manager in Poland, you will turn short-term optimization and trading of BESS and hybrid assets into long-term contracted, bankable revenue: tolling, floors, vPPAs and route-to-market agreements in cooperation with third parties.

You will structure and price these deals alongside our offtake partners, then own the relationships on all sides of the deal.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate offtaker pipeline across Poland and own the fixed-revenue counterparty relationships.
• Build coverage of Polish asset owners, developers and IPPs alongside the team.
• Structure tripartite deals between the asset owner, the offtaker and Capalo AI, articulating Capalo’s value to each side of the table, and own the deal from first conversations through term sheet and negotiation to the contractual close.
• Develop structures the market does not offer yet.
• Contribute to Capalo AI’s long-term market view for Poland and beyond.
• Represent Capalo AI at industry events across the region and grow its reputation in the local market.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• Experience originating and negotiating route-to-market agreements for renewable power or storage assets, plus structuring at least one of: PPAs, financially settled structures (vPPA, CfD, swap), floors or tolling.
• A commercial, sales-driven mindset paired with the analytical rigor to price, evaluate and compare deal structures.
• Fluent English and Polish.
• Willingness to travel within Poland and occasionally to the Helsinki office.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of how a battery earns across day-ahead, intraday, balancing and ancillary markets.
• Direct experience with project finance for renewable or storage assets.
• An existing counterparty network among Polish asset owners, developers, IPPs or offtakers.

• Working language: English. All meetings, documentation and code reviews run in English.
• Hybrid: Most teams are in-office around three days a week. Specifics vary by team and role.
